Russia uses veto in Security Council to end 16-year UN observer mission in Georgia
Russia exercised its veto power in the United Nations Security Council on Monday and brought an end to the nearly 16-year-old observer mission monitoring a cease-fire between Georgia and its breakaway Abkhazia region.
