Hotel collapses as typhoon Morakot continues to devastate China

Typhoon Morakot slammed into China's east coast Sunday just hours after nearly one (m) million people evacuated the area. It earlier lashed Taiwan with torrential rains that caused the island's worst flooding in 50 years and left dozens missing and feared dead. Taiwan's CTV television network broadcast dramatic pictures on Sunday as flood waters from Typhoon Morakot undermined an entire hotel building causing it to topple over.
