The 7th Seoul Air Show took place on Tuesday, marking the opening of the city's International Aerospace and Defence Exhibition (ADEX) 2009.
The exhibition is Asia-Pacific's largest aerospace and defence event, according to the organisers.
Some 270 companies from around 27 countries will participate, with more than 300-thousand expected to attend, they said. South Korean President Lee Myung-bak attended the open air show.
This year's event drew greater public interest due to joint aerial maneouvers by the South Korean Air Force's aerobatic team, Black Eagles, and US.Thunderbirds.
South Korea's Black Eagle demonstration team performed with T-50 jets along with South Korea's F-15K jets flipping over in the air.
US and South Korean officials also joined the crowds who watched the display.
Later Lee toured the exhibition hall where various newly developed aerospace and defence products were on display.
