An Ohio family has taken in an unusual house pet that they literally fawn over.
Dillie the deer became part of Melanie Butera's family when she took Dillie in five years ago.
The deer was near death.
Butera is a veterinarian in Canal Fulton, and she and her husband nursed Dillie back to health.
Now she's one of the family pets.
Dillie is fully domesticated and can turn on lights with her nose, walk up and down stairs, and take naps on beds.
She's even toilet trained.
Dillie is a vegetarian, preferring salads and flowers, although she does enjoy the occasional bowl of ice cream.
