Hundreds of fans and dozens of journalists have come to Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport to see the Russian biathlon team off to Vancouver, Canada. The biathletes are taking along 200 pairs of skis and 12 rifles. Each team member has one rifle but can choose skis depending on weather conditions.
Russia’s national biathlon team consists of six men and six women.
The 2010 Winter Games will be held in Vancouver, Canada, from February 12 to 28. The biathlon event consists of 10 disciplines and starts with the women's 7.5-kilometer sprint on February 13.
