Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre has opened its doors to the public for the first time since 2005, when the renovation work started. Once again classic opera can be heard in the Choral Hall, which was the first to be renovated in accordance with old designs. Two more halls, Round and Beethoven’s, will be reopened for the public next spring. Work on the main foyer, the façade and square in front of the building will also be completed by spring. The Moscow government said the official opening will take place on October 11, 2011.
