Yanukovych claims victory, Tymoshenko refuses to concede

Topic:Presidential election campaign in Ukraine

The second round of the presidential election in Ukraine ended at 8:00 p.m. (9 p.m. Moscow time) on February 7.  According to the Central Election Commission, which has processed 95.04% of the ballots cast, Viktor Yanukovych, leader of the Party of Regions, leads Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko by only 2.09%.
