Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin decided to see what life is like in the Far Eastern federal district with his own eyes and set off down the new highway from Chita to Khabarovsk.
For his travel, the prime minister chose a Lada Kalina. He noted, however, that he had no specific preferences about any AvtoVAZ car.
“The car is excellent, even beyond my expectations,” Putin said after a ‘test drive’.. “No kidding. It’s comfortable and almost noise-free.”
There are plans to build a hydroelectric power plant and a space launch site near the highway. The prime minister intends to inspect the location of the future construction sites.
