On May 24, the Moscow City Court heard the appeal of FORMER YUKOS AND MENATEP CEOs, Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev, regarding last December’s verdict by the Khamovniki District Court.
At that time, both businessmen were sentenced to 14 years each for stealing 200 million tonnes of crude oil and for laundering the proceeds. The Moscow City Court knocked a year off their sentences, but the verdict was not overturned.
