An aerobatics performance by the MiG jet fighter officially opened the MAKS-2011 International Aviation and Space Show in Zhukovsky on August 16. For eight minutes the jet fighter demonstrated all kinds of aerobatics for the audience.

More than 800 companies from 40 countries will participate in the air show this year. A record high 600,000 visitors will have the opportunity to see performances by the aerobatics teams, and check out the machines on static display on the ground.

The MAKS-2011 International Aviation and Space Show opened in Zhukovsky outside Moscow on August 16, 2011. It will run through August 21.
