Russia builds its first remote controlled firefighting train

On August 29, Russian Railways presented its new firefighting train. It is specifically designed to extinguish tunnel fires. The rolling stock includes a flatcar with a mobile LUF-60 firefighting support machine, which can be controlled remotely at up to 300 meters. The LUF- 60 can use either caterpillar tracks for rough terrain or railway track wheels.
