Red Bull Flugtag Festival: Homemade Flying Machines Awe Moscow
13:24 GMT 29.07.2013 (Updated: 19:57 GMT 19.10.2022) The 2013 festival of homemade flying machines known as Red Bull Flugtag “Pilot’s Day” took place this weekend on the Stroginsky Beach in the northwest of Moscow.
The 2013 festival of homemade flying machines known as Red Bull Flugtag “Pilot’s Day” took place this weekend on the Stroginsky Beach in the northwest of Moscow. The most unique and ridiculous constructions tried to conquer the sky. All constructions were made by the participants. It should be noted that originality and self-expression counted more than flying capabilities. Many devices can’t claim to be flying machines, because what they do can’t quite be categorized as flight. There were no limits on the fantasies of the participants: designs featured such themes as “Horror in tomato sauce,” “Flying tuna,” and “Gerard Depardieu’s head.”
