BISHKEK, June 17 (RIA Novosti) - People who instigated protests in Kyrgyz capital Bishkek on Friday were paid some $28,000, acting President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev said. According to him, initiators of the disorders offered 500-1,000 soms (40 soms equal $1) to students to join the protest on Friday.

The Kyrgyz law enforcement bodies are searching for one of the initiators, former presidential nominee Urmat Barktabasov.

"The search is underway. In my opinion, the law enforcement bodies must take a principled position in this case," Bakiyev said.

The developments in Kyrgyzstan will not get out of control, he added.

Ten policemen were wounded in the riots.
