ASTANA, July 4 (RIA Novosti) - The leaders of Kazakhstan and China, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Hu Jintao, signed a joint declaration on Strategic Partnership in Astana, the Kazakh capital, today. "The document is designed for centuries," Nazarbaev said. "We have reviewed the results of our cooperation in the past 13 years and want to expand our cooperation." Nazarbayev said Kazakhstan and China had agreed to strengthen bilateral partnership in international affairs, primarily within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which also includes Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan, and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), an international security forum.

Nazarbayev also said bilateral trade this year would reach $5 billion, and Chinese investment to Kazakhstan would hit $2 billion.
