VILNIUS, July 26 (RIA Novosti, Vladimir Vodo) - The "phone terrorist" who made a call about an explosion threat at the Vilnius airport Tuesday, has been detained, a Vilnius police official said.
The 25-year-old suspect confessed that he made a call from a pay phone at the airport saying two explosions would take place at the airport at 4:30 p.m. local time.
Earlier reports said that after the threat, special police squads and bomb squads arrived at the airport, but did not find any explosives and the airport continued its regular operations.
Airport staff and passengers were not evacuated.
