MINSK, August 2 (RIA Novosti) - Belarus will ban the trips of foreign emissaries that instigate interethnic hatred, a source in the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

Maria Vanshina, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry's press service, commented on the statements of Polish Sejm Vice Marshal Donald Tusk after his visit to the Belarusian city of Grodno.

According to Vanshina, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry considers such trips by foreign emissaries as direct interference into the internal affairs of a sovereign state, especially in light of efforts to find possible solutions to the crisis in Belarusian-Polish relations.

"How can Mr. Tusk speak about the violation of rights, including of the Polish ethnic minority group in Belarus, when he is a leader of the Citizens Platform political party, which has been blocking the adoption of the Polish law on national and ethnic minorities?" she said. Vanshina noted that this draft law was debated in the Polish Parliament for 11 years and finally adopted only in the beginning of 2005.

"This only confirms the insincerity of such politicians and can be evaluated as another political trick aimed at aggravating the situation surrounding the Union of Poles by using it as a tool in the pre-election campaign in Poland," she said.
