CAIRO, August 31 (RIA Novosti, Igor Kuznetsov) - Egypt's interior minister told the government that the investigation into the bomb attacks on Sharm El Sheikh was fully completed, cabinet spokesman Magdi Radi said after a closed session Wednesday. General Habib al Adli said security services successfully completed the investigation into all circumstances of the case and arrested those who organized and carried out the bombings. Egyptian security forces have been conducting an operation since August 23 in the rugged Halal mountain region of the Sinai Peninsula, where remaining militants are hiding, the minister said, adding that militants have been using land mines, leading to the death of a lieutenant-general and wounding 20 soldiers.
The minister said the full results of the investigation would be announced later.
On July 23, three bomb attacks occurred in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El Sheikh killing 64 people and wounding 124.
