Speaking to journalists, Ali Larijani said countries such as Russia, China, India and Pakistan could help Iran in negotiations with the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN's nuclear watchdog, to solve the problem of the Iranian nuclear file. Some nations are concerned about Iran's nuclear ambitions and want to see the UN Security Council impose sanctions against the country after reviewing its nuclear programs.
According to Larijani, "highlighting the absolutely transparent and peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, Tehran is ready to cooperation with any country in this field."
The official said cooperation with the IAEA needed to be continued to resolve the remaining contentions issues.
"The Agency is Iran's main partner in the talks, and the task of this international organization is to investigate our work in the nuclear sphere," Larijani said. "The Islamic Republic's nuclear activity is peaceful and transparent and is pursued strictly within the framework of international treaties and agreements."
