BEIJING, September 13 (RIA Novosti, Alexei Yefimov) - The six-nation negotiations on the North Korean nuclear problem resumed in Beijing Tuesday, the press center for the talks said.

The fourth round of talks, involving North Korea, China, the United States, Russia, South Korea, and Japan, began in Beijing on July 26, but were suspended on August 7.

The countries also held several bilateral meetings before the talks began and the press center said all parties met individually with the Chinese delegation, but did not discuss the results of the talks.

The head of the U.S. delegation, Christopher Hill, said after arriving in Beijing that North Korea is relenting a little in its position.

Pyongong's insistence that it has the right to develop a peaceful nuclear program is contested by Washington. The issue of the country's right to peaceful nuclear technology is one of the main sticking points in the talks.
