NUSA DUA (Indonesia), May 13 (RIA Novosti) - Iran's president said Saturday the Islamic Republic's nuclear activities would be subject to the UN nuclear watchdog's control.

"The IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] monitors Iran's nuclear program, and all further activities of Iran in the sphere of nuclear energy will be conducted under the IAEA's control," Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a news conference at the end of a Developing Eight nations summit on Bali, Indonesia.

"The international community should not be nervous since Tehran's nuclear program is absolutely peaceful. Iran is ready for talks with all the countries of the world except Israel," he said. "Tehran will never succumb to outside pressure, like it or not."

The president said Iran greatly valued Russia's support for the legitimate rights of the Iranian people.

"Our relations with Russia are very friendly and we are striving to advance them further: Iran is interested in expanding these relations," Ahmadinejad said.

The D-8 group of developing countries, established in 1997, comprises largely Muslim states, including Iran, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.
