"Yuiry Ivanovich has not filed any resignation and will continue to carry out his duties in line with current legislation," he said.

KIEV, May 15 (RIA Novosti, Vladimir Suprun) - Ukraine's prime minister, Yuriy Yekhanurov, has not tendered his resignation and is continuing to work in his post, his press secretary said Monday.

Ukraine's political life has been in limbo since parliamentary elections on March 26 failed to produce a clear winner with at least two former prime ministers seeking to make a return to government.

But Yekhanurov's press secretary scotched a suggestion that he had already stepped down from this post.

"Yuiry Ivanovich has not filed any resignation and will continue to carry out his duties in line with current legislation," he said.

The press secretary said and Yekhanurov other government members had asked the new parliament to include their resignation on the agenda of the first session of the Supreme Rada, which has been scheduled for May 25 under the terms of constitution.

Yekhanurov's pro-presidential Our Ukraine bloc took third place in March 26 parliamentary elections with 13.95% of the vote (81 seats), but trailed Yulia Tymoshenko's eponymous bloc with 22.29% (129 seats) and Viktor Yanukovych's Party of Regions with 32.14% (186 seats).
