TIRASPOL, July 6 (RIA Novosti) - Security services in the self-proclaimed republic of Transdnestr in Moldova said Thursday they Russian and Ukrainian experts will join an investigation into a fatal blast on a minibus earlier in the day.

At least eight people were killed and 30 injured after a suspected bomb ripped a minibus apart in the capital of the breakaway region, Tiraspol.

"A group of bomb experts may arrive from Moscow tomorrow and bring equipment for examination," said Vladimir Antyukheyev, the minister of state security in the region.

He said police so far had insufficient grounds to say for certain that the tragedy was a terrorist attack and added that it was the first explosion in public transport in Transdnestr.

July 8 has been declared a day of mourning in Transdnestr.
