MOSCOW, August 2 (RIA Novosti) - Three Ukrainian climbers died and two were injured as a rope broke in Russia's North Caucasus Wednesday, the Emergency Situations Ministry said.
The ministry said the accident occurred on the eastern slope of Mount Elbrus, Europe's highest peak.
The ministry also said a group of 13 Ukrainian climbers had not been registered. The survivors are currently staying at the site of the accident with five Russian rescuers.
They will be later evacuated by helicopter.
