Russia's president met with a Chinese presidential envoy Saturday to discuss the international dispute over North Korea's nuclear bomb test.
A Russian lawmaker said Saturday that the Georgian leader's appeal to return to his fellow countrymen in Russia was his reaction to an unexpected UN resolution on Georgia.
Russia's defense minister said Saturday that possible UN sanctions against North Korea should not even hint on military action against Pyongyang following the reported nuclear test there.
The relations between Russia and China are not aimed against any third parties and help the both states to combat effectively modern threats and challenges, the Russian defense minister said Saturday.
