A Russian emergencies ministry aircraft has left Georgia's capital for Moscow, carrying 85 Russian nationals, Novosti Georgia agency reported Tuesday. 
Changes in the composition of the participants in the controversial Sakhalin II oil and gas project in Russia's Far East are dictated purely by corporate interests, Russia's industry and energy minister said Tuesday. 
The Sakhalin prosecutor's office for environmental protection has summoned the acting head of the local environmental agency for questioning, the Russian Natural Resources Ministry said Tuesday. 
Ukraine has been illegally selling arms to Georgia amid escalating tensions between the South Caucasus republic and Russia, Ukraine's Communist party leader said Tuesday. "Ukraine has already delivered 40 tanks to Georgia," Petro Symonenko said.
