KIEV, October 24 (RIA Novosti) - A party belonging to the pro-presidential bloc Our Ukraine demanded Tuesday the dismissal of the Russian-leaning government of Viktor Yanukovych.

Relations between the bloc and the government, which came to power in August, have worsened as the Cabinet has dragged its feet on the president's key pro-Western policy goals. The bloc vowed October 5 to form a radical opposition, and called on its ministers to quit the Cabinet.

"The Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists urges all sensible national-patriotic forces in the Supreme Rada to demand the dismissal of Yanukovych's government," the party's press service said.

The congress, established in 1992 and led by former head of the state-owned energy company Naftogaz Oleksiy Ivchenko, said "the anti-social nature" of the 2007 draft budget was one of the reasons for the demand.

The party also said the anti-crisis coalition, comprising Yanukovych's pro-Russian Party of Regions, the Socialist and Communist Parties, "deliberately hampers the country's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance and the WTO, and the Cabinet sets unjustifiably high tariffs on housing and communal services, but fails to begin the heating season in time."
