HANOI, November 18 (RIA Novosti) - The relations between Russia and China are robust and have good potential, the Russian president said Saturday.
Vladimir Putin met with Chinese President Hu Jintao on the sidelines of a two-day Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit that opened in Hanoi.
"They [our relations] are developing along all lines," Vladimir Putin said. "They are strategic, long-term relations. We highly value them and will work further to advance them."
Hu Jintao said the meeting was productive and that political dialogue between the two countries continues to deepen.
"Friendly relations between China and Russia are a major factor in ensuring peace and stability not only in the region, but also throughout the world," he said.
