The five permanent members of the UN Security Council - Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States - and Germany are considering imposing sanctions against Iran over its failure to halt enrichment activity, which they fear may lead to the Islamic Republic obtaining a nuclear bomb. Iran maintains that its nuclear program is purely civilian and in compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Iran earlier said all problems related to its nuclear program could be resolved within the framework of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Hosseini said Tehran will in the future take actions depending on decisions to be made by the six world powers (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) in relation to the Islamic Republic.
Hosseini also said Iranian-Russian cooperation had good prospects, adding that a session of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic issues will be held in Tehran December 11.
