BISHKEK, December 27 (RIA Novosti) - An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale has struck northern Kyrgyzstan damaging at least 6,000 buildings but causing no human injuries, local rescue services said Wednesday.
A rescue service official said the quake razed to the ground ten out of 13,800 residential buildings in the Kochkorsky region Tuesday, partially damaged 518, and slightly hit the remaining buildings - administrative offices, maternity centers, schools and kindergartens.
