It is not the first time Chuck Berry, who turned 80 last year, has performed in Russia, having already given two concerts in Moscow in 1997 and 2003.
This year's concert is part of his 80th Birthday Celebration World Tour, which also includes stops in France, Germany, the United States, Turkey and other countries.
The legendary musician began playing in the 1950s, giving the world top hits like 'Johnny B. Goode', 'Rock and roll music', 'Roll over Beethoven' and many others, which were later covered by almost all famous rock bands, ranging from The Beatles to Green Day.
The Beatles' John Lennon once said about Chuck Berry: "If you tried to give rock and roll another name, you might call it 'Chuck Berry'."
The performer will give only one concert in Russia as part of his current world tour, at Moscow's 'B1 Maximum' club, and will set off tomorrow for Belfast in Northern Ireland to perform at the Waterfront Hall.
