Two injured in U.S. plane crash at Moscow airport

Two of four crewmembers of a Challenger-850 plane belonging to U.S. Ford Aero airline were injured in a crash at Moscow's Vnukovo airport, a spokesman for the Russian Transportation Ministry said Tuesday.
MOSCOW, February 13 (RIA Novosti) - Two of four crewmembers of a Challenger-850 plane belonging to U.S. Ford Aero airline were injured in a crash at Moscow's Vnukovo airport, a spokesman for the Russian Transportation Ministry said Tuesday.

"Two of them were not injured, and the other two were given medical aid. The fire at the crash site has been extinguished," he said.

The ministry said the plane was bound for Berlin.

An official spokeswoman for Vnukovo airport said the plane caught fire during takeoff and crashed.

The airport will remain closed until the plane's wreckage is removed from the runway.
