Abkhaz President Bagapsh discharged from Moscow hospital

Sergei Bagapsh, the president of Georgia's self-proclaimed republic of Abkhazia, was discharged Thursday from a Moscow cardiology treatment hospital.
MOSCOW, April 19 (RIA Novosti) - Sergei Bagapsh, the president of Georgia's self-proclaimed republic of Abkhazia, was discharged Thursday from a Moscow cardiology treatment hospital.

Bagapsh who was suffering from angina last Monday arrived in Moscow for cardio treatment Tuesday morning. He was expected to attend a summit of post-Soviet breakaway republics of Georgia and Moldova April 10-11, which had to be postponed due to his absence.

The president said that he feels fine now and doctors did not prescribe him any period of rehabilitation.

"Everything is normal, there are no problems and doctors did not recommend that I reduce my working hours," Bagapsh said.

He added that he will stay in Moscow this week and next week as he had scheduled some meetings and will return back to Sukhumi, the capital of Abkhazia, at the end of April.
