BEIRUT, June 7 (RIA Novosti) - Islamist militants in the north of Lebanon vowed to fight to the last man, despite seeing 11 more of their members surrender to the army Thursday, local media said.

Palestinian sources in Lebanon estimate the number of Fatah al-Islam members remaining in the embattled Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr al-Bared at no more that 75.

On Wednesday at least 20 militants and other gunmen surrendered to the army in return for guarantees of a fair trial.

"The days of Fatah al-Islam are numbered," said Sultan Abul Aineyn, a Lebanon representative of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

The Lebanese military have been bombarding Nahr al-Bared since May 21, following a gun battle in the nearby town of Tripoli between Fatah al-Islam, believed to be linked to al Qaeda, and the Lebanese army.

Most Nahr al-Bared refugees have already fled to other camps. The death toll in the last two weeks is estimated at approximately 120 people.
