Putin to visit Guatemala July 3-4 for Olympic committee session-1

MOSCOW, June 21 (RIA Novosti) - President Vladimir Putin will visit Guatemala on July 3-4 for a session of an international committee assessing Russia's 2014 Winter Olympic bid, the Kremlin press service said Thursday.
The Russian leader will attend the opening of the 119th session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and a presentation of the Russian resort city of Sochi, which is bidding to host the winter games.
The 2014 Olympic host city will be announced July 4, on the first day of the IOC session in Guatemala. Apart from Sochi Austria's Salzburg and South Korea's PyeongChang are bidding to host the international games.
The president is also expected to meet with his Guatemalan counterpart Oscar Berger Perdomo.
