BEIRUT, June 28 (RIA Novosti) - Saddam's cousin, Ali Hassan al-Majid, also known as "Chemical Ali," who was sentenced to death Sunday for using chemical weapons against the Kurds, will most likely be executed in Kurdistan, an Iraqi paper said Thursday.

The Al Bayana al Jedira newspaper said although a final decision has not been made yet, the sentence will be most likely be executed in Erbil (the capital of the so called independent Kurdistan) or Halabja.

Another two top officials of the former Iraqi regime -- former Defense Minister Sultan Hashim Ahmad al-Tai and former deputy director of operations for the Iraqi Army, Hussein Rashid Mohammed - were sentenced to death by hanging in the Anfal case, so called after a government campaign against Kurds in northern Iraq that resulted in the killing of 182,000 people in the 1980s.

Saddam was hanged December 30, 2006, after being convicted for the 1982 killings of 148 Shiites in Dujail, north of Baghdad.
