DAMASCUS, August 28 (RIA Novosti) - An Egyptian male, trapped for two years in the Gaza Strip, was forced to swim back to Egypt via the Mediterranean Sea, Syrian media reported.
After swimming all night the long-distance swimmer was detained by Egyptian authorities as soon as he set foot on home soil.
During questioning he said that in 2005 he had illegally crossed into Gaza through the Rafah border crossing, but was unable to return home as he had no documents with him.
