MOSCOW, September 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Federal Security Service officer Pavel Ryaguzov is suspected of passing details of investigative journalist Anna Politkovskaya's address to her killers, a source close to the investigation said Wednesday.

"In September 2006 Ryaguzov established Politkovskaya's place of residence and passed the data to the criminals," the source said.

Earlier Wednesday, it was reported that a Moscow military court had sanctioned for the third time in two weeks the arrest of Lt. Col. Ryaguzov, a suspect in the murder of Kremlin critic Politkovskaya.

Two previous sanctions on the arrest of Ryaguzov were turned down as being unlawful by the Moscow Military District Court on September 4 and 11.

Andrei Trepykhalin, a lawyer for Ryaguzov, said earlier that the arrest of his client was based on other charges, which were completely unconnected with the Politkovskaya murder.

Ryaguzov, who was initially arrested August 21, is charged with abuse of office, abduction and illegal entry - offenses that he allegedly committed in 2002, Trepykhalin said.

Politkovskaya, known for her criticism of the Kremlin's policy in Chechnya, was gunned down in an apparent contract killing in an elevator of her apartment building October 7, 2006 in Moscow, aged 48.
