Six-nation talks on North Korea's nuclear program are to break for two days as participants work on the wording of a document on the country's denuclearization, the top Chinese envoy said Sunday.
BEIJING, September 30 (RIA Novosti) - Six-nation talks on North Korea's nuclear program are to break for two days as participants work on the wording of a document on the country's denuclearization, the top Chinese envoy said Sunday.

Envoys from the United States, China, Russia, Japan and South and North Koreas gathered in the Chinese capital Thursday to finalize a timeline for Pyongyang to shut down all its nuclear facilities and provide full data on nuclear programs in exchange for aid.

Wu Dawe said that discussions had been "intelligent," and that, "since we need to report the document to our governments for their endorsement, we have made a decision that the session will be recessed for two days."

Russia's envoy at the talks, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Losyukov, told journalists Sunday that the document could be made public on Monday evening or Tuesday morning, and that the proposed wording "suited Russia entirely." He declined to comment on its exact content.

North Korea, which tested a nuclear bomb last October, closed down its main nuclear reactor in July under the February six-party deal. The impoverished state has already been provided with 50,000 metric tons of fuel oil and is to receive about the same amount for its thermal power plants.
