At least thirteen people are confirmed dead following a household gas explosion on Saturday in Dnepropetrovsk in south-central Ukraine, rescuers said on Sunday.
KIEV, October 14 (RIA Novosti) - At least thirteen people are confirmed dead following a household gas explosion on Saturday in Dnepropetrovsk in south-central Ukraine, rescuers said on Sunday.

The blast that occurred in a nine-storey building in Ukraine's third-largest city located to the south of Kiev, caused a section of the building to collapse, the rescuers said.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko called on his Cabinet to do everything possible to help relatives of the victims, and those injured in the accident, the presidential press office earlier said. He also offered his condolences to the victims' families, and urged Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych to urgently ascertain the cause of the disaster.
