TEL AVIV, October 26 (RIA Novosti) - Israeli troops shot dead at least two Palestinian militants during night raids in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian and Israeli sources said on Friday.
The Israeli army said three gunmen were killed in the operation, but Palestinian sources said two died.
According to the military, two fighters were killed in north Gaza, and one in the south of the coastal enclave.
An army spokesman described the clashes as routine operations, and said two Israeli soldiers were slightly wounded.
Four Palestinian gunmen were shot dead on Thursday by the Israeli military in Gaza.
Two members of the Islamic Jihad movement were killed by sniper fire in Elei Sinai, north Gaza, and earlier in the day two Hamas fighters from the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades were killed in a south Gaza raid.
