TALLINN, December 4 (RIA Novosti) - Estonia's parliament extended the country's military mission in Afghanistan, the parliament's press service said on Tuesday.

The mandate suggests that up to 150 troops will serve in the Asian country under NATO command until December 31, 2008.

Some 7.3 million euros will be allocated from the budget for the purpose.

Estonian troops have served in Afghanistan since 2003, and the country's parliament extended their mandate for two years in 2005 raising the number of soldiers six-fold to 150 servicemen. Two Estonian soldiers have been killed and 17 wounded in NATO operations in Afghanistan.

The parliament also extended for a year Estonia's peacekeeping mission under EU command in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Over 190,000 euros will be allotted from the budget for the contingent.
