Pickled cucumbers paralyze Austrian highway

VIENNA, February 7 (RIA Novosti) - Traffic on an Austrian highway ground to a halt on Thursday after a truck carrying jars of pickled cucumbers overturned, national radio said.

Tons of cucumbers and pieces of glass blocked the busy highway near the town of Melk. The cause of the accident is still unknown.

Hundreds of cars were stuck in traffic jams stretching back many kilometers.
