Russian space capsule lands 260 miles away from target site

MISSION CONTROL, April 19 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's space capsule carrying the International Space Station crew and a South Korean astronaut landed 420 km (260 miles) away from the target site in northern Kazakhstan, but everyone is safe, Mission Control said Saturday.

The Soyuz-TMA-11 capsule carried U.S. astronaut Peggy Whitson, Russian flight engineer Yury Malenchenko and South Korean bioengineer Yi So-yeon. All of them have been evacuated from the craft and feel fine.

Initially, it was believed it would take rescuers more time to reach the area.
