* Russia's space capsule carrying International Space Station crew landed 420 km (260 miles) away from the target site in northern Kazakhstan, but the crew are safe, Mission Control said

* One man was injured as a homemade explosive device detonated in a garage area in Moscow's south, police said

* A UAZ minivan fell into a river in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Daghestan killing at least five people, law enforcement agencies said

* The workers at a Urals mine owned by Russia's aluminum giant RusAl have stopped a hunger strike they had gone on almost a week ago to demand higher wages

* The Georgian parliament speaker again called on Russia to review its decision to establish legal relations with the unrecognized republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia

* Three Romanians suspected of posing as policemen on the S1 highway in Austria to rob drivers were detained near the Austrian capital Vienna early Saturday, one of them later died, Austrian radio said
