MOSCOW, June 20 (RIA Novosti) - The Czech Republic is to extradite to Russia an Israeli national tried and sentenced in absentia on fraud and money-laundering charges, a spokesman for Interpol said on Friday.

The suspect, Savely Burstein, believed to be a member of an organized criminal group, is accused of having illegally transferred $20 million from the Turkmen national bank to a foreign currency account at a Moscow bank in 2002.

Russian prosecutors have said that he was assisted by three Russian banking officials and two citizens of Turkmenistan.

In April 2003, Burstein was put on Interpol's wanted list. In January this year, he was detained by Czech authorities.
