DONETSK, October 4 (RIA Novosti) - Six miners were killed in a gas blast in southeastern Ukraine early Saturday, a local rescue squad spokesman said.
The blast occurred at a depth of 590 m in the Duvannaya mine in Ukraine's Lugansk Region, when there were 119 miners in the shaft.
"The six bodies have already been found and brought to the surface," the spokesman said.
All the other miners have been evacuated, he said.
