U.S. missile destroyer to visit Georgian port Friday

A U.S. guided missile destroyer will dock Friday in the Georgian Black Sea port of Poti for a goodwill visit, the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi said Thursday.

TBILISI, October 16 (RIA Novosti) - A U.S. guided missile destroyer will dock Friday in the Georgian Black Sea port of Poti for a goodwill visit, the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi said Thursday.

The USS Barry (DDG-52) will be met by Georgian government officials, including representatives of the Defense Ministry and the local administration.

The warship is expected to leave the South Caucasus country on Monday.
