Georgia ready to reestablish relations with Russia - minister
"On our part we are always ready to improve our relations," Yekaterina Sharashidze, who is in Rome attending a conference on economic problems in South Caucasus.
She said Moscow and Tbilisi "have had no economic relations for almost three years."
However, she said, it was too early to talk about improving relations through dialogue with Russia.
"Russia should withdraw its troops from Georgian territory - from the buffer zones, South Ossetia and Abkhazia," the minister said.
Russia and Georgia fought a five-day war after Georgia attacked South Ossetia on August 8. Moscow recognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent states in late August.
Although Moscow completed its troop pullout from buffer zones in Georgia in October, questions remain over the scale of its presence in the two republics.
