
ASTANA, January 21 (RIA Novosti) - Three people were injured in eastern Kazakhstan when a man blew himself up in an apparent suicide bid, the country's emergencies ministry said on Wednesday.
The 54-year-old man from Pavlodar used a home-made bomb to kill himself at work on Tuesday, a ministry statement said.
"As a result of the explosion the man died instantly and three people who were in the area, aged 18, 20 and 60 years, were hospitalized with various injuries," the ministry said.
The blast affected an area of 20 sq meters.
A team of investigators from the emergencies and interior ministries are working at the scene.
