Young Russian woman stabbed to death in Japan
Anastasia Korpachyova, the wife of a 57-year-old Japanese national, was stabbed twice in her neck by an unknown foreigner before she fell into the Ayasegawa River in the Saitama prefecture and was pulled out by passersby who saw the incident.
The woman was taken to a hospital but doctors failed to save her life.
Police said that before the incident Korpachyova had been involved in a row with her attacker. The spokesman said the man was of Asian origin but was not Japanese.
The spokesman also said that an hour before the attack the woman and her husband filed a complaint to police on Friday after she was sexually harassed by an acquaintance. She said the man had been stalking her near her home.
